NEXT UP: Club Championship weekend on August 28/29. Here is a quick rundown of the weekend and the goals and privileges of the event. More details will be upcoming in the official rules and entry form over the next week or so
* The Club Championships ARE the PREMIER event of the Club. We have therefore decided to play the events over one weekend ALL concurrent........this allows us to prepare and mark the course to the utmost for playing conditions and such. The Linkside course will be available ONLY to Championship competitors on such weekend
* The events have to take place on Linkside as for those unaware....the back nine of Creekside is closed for approximately 4-6 weeks as the greens are transplanted from bent to champion bermuda to bring that nine holes up to par with the rest of the facility
* The Men's Club Championship is 36 holes on Linkside with the top 12 players then advancing to the final 9 holes of The Championship. The final 9 holes will be played on the front nine of Creekside sunday afternoon at approximately 2.30-3pm.
* The Super Senior event is for golfers 62 years of age and over...this will be played from the White Tees
* The 50 and over Senior Championship will be played at a later date... this option then allows some golfers who are still competitive at the Club Championship level to enter the Main Championship and play from the correct tees to partake in such event
* Tee markers will be moved around on some holes to offer a different playing field from round to round but on the whole...most tee markers will be near the block markers of each separate permanent tee area
* The Flights Championship....are for golfers wishing to play who feel they have a diminished opportunity to win either the Club Championship or The Super Senior event..... They will play for gross and nett Championships to be played from the blue/white or black tees that they normally play from. The tee selection may be decided by age groups...details will be on official entry form with regards to that..........Flights will be determined based on handicap such as 6 handicap thru 12 handicap....13 handicap thru 20 handicap...and 21 handicap and above...these numbers are only for information purposes and not set in stone as these selections will also be based on amount of entries
Winners will be deemed Flight 1 Champion...Flight 2 Champion...etc of Pebble Creek Club and trophies and prizemoney will be awarded accordingly
* In some instances a Super Senior age golfer may feel qualified to enter the Club Championship. It IS the golfer's choice what division he enters.......He can only be eligible for The Championship OR the Super Seniors and enters the event accordingly and plays the correct tees for such entry
* The womens Championship is on Linkside ONLy as stated because of renovations to the back nine of Creekside which make that course unusable for the event.
* Junior Championship will be by age group and boys and girls categories depending on amount of entries. Younger age groups will only play 9 holes per day probably on front nine of Creekside from marker blocks positioned down the fairway to shorten the yardage of the course.
Older Juniors 14-18? will play red or white tees on Linkside or on the Creek/Link loop depending on entries and times available to fit into this course format
* Tee times will be used. This allows ALL golfers to select the appropriate time they need to play due to outside activities such as children's sport and church etc on that weekend
We will however block off some morning times on Sunday that will be set aside for use ONLY by golfers competing in the Championship flight..as these players must complete 36 holes early and then go on to another 9 holes that afternoon to decide the eventual Champion
* Official entry forms MUST be filled out and returned to the pro shop and entry fee MUST be paid in accompaniment of entry form.
All entries in check made out to GOLFAUS LLC or cash will be accepted. This is because I myself provide the trophies and the prizemoney and need the amounts separate from the computer system to determine amounts payable and trophy costs that I order from an outside agency
The Pebble Creek Tournament Committe believe holding ALL championships on one weekend will enhance the Championships as being the major event on the Pebble Creek calander. It will allow ALL players to be competing on a level playing field under tournament conditions at the same time, and bring a unique atmosphere to the weekend that hasn't occurred for quite some time.

Junior Golf--The first Pebble Creek Junior Golf Camp for 2010 was held the week of June 14-18. Over 20 children of varying ages attended. Each child was given individual and group lessons on all areas of the game including etiquette and rules. Upon completion of the camp they all received a team shirt and cap.
The weather was extremely hot but water balloons and a swim in the pool at the end of each day provided some welcome relief.
